…Bledar Zajmi´s play was fascinating because he managed to use fully all the potential that Bach had put in this suites. His interpretation was smart, dancing and has a strong expression. The music several centuries old woke under his fingers, and it has occupied the audience.

SCHOLASTIC EDUCATION
   
1987-1991 he studied and graduated from the Music Lyceum in Tirana (prof. Xhovalin Lazri).
1991-1992 he studied at the Academy of Music in Tirana (prof. Astrit Selita).
1992-1997 he received a scolarship of the Academy of Music in Prague, where he studied and gratuated with the best mark (doc.Rudolf Lojda). Also he won the academy titul "Magister".
1997 Masterclasses at the International Summer Academy in Semmering, Austria (prof. J.Chuchro).
   
COMPETITIONS, AWARDS
   
1984 III. prize at the cello National Competition in Tirana, Albania.
1985 II. prize at the cello National Competition in Tirana, Albania.
1999 II. prize and the Special Prize of the jury at the International Chamber Music Competition "Palma d’Oro" (duo cello and piano) in Finale Ligure, Italy.
2004 Argend medal and III. prize at the International Chamber Music Competition "Premio Rovere d’Oro" (duo cello and piano) in San Bartolomeo al Mare, Italy.
   
CONCERT ACTIVITY
   
He performed as soloist (with Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, State Philharmony Brno) and as chamber music player (Duo and Quarteto) in many countrys of Europe such as Czech Republic, Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Sweden, Danmark, Austria, Hungaria, Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and also in Japan, Brasil and China.
His performances are highly appreciated from the artistic critics of many countries.
   
1996-1998 Concertmaster of the "Berg chamber orchestra Prague".
1998-2001 Concertmaster of the "Praha Mozart Concerts".
2006-2008 Concertmaster of the "Virtuosi di Praga".
   
RECORDINGS
   
He made many recordings for Radio and TV in Czech Republic, Japan, Brasil, Spain, Austria, Croatia and Bulgaria.
With the quarttet "Ensemble Martinů" he has recorded 8 CDs and with the group "Lyra da Camera" 3 CDs.
   
AT PRESENT
   
Since 2000 Bledar Zajmi is a concertmaster of the Opera orchestra of Prague National Theatre.
He playes a cello "Clarus" (1996) of the Czech violin-maker Jan Slípka.
